Karma comes full circle! Does it?
In this day and age of “kalyug” as they say, is it worth
helping someone or doing something good for someone who has at some point in
time done bad to you?
There are two schools of thought to it. The first is to cut
chords with someone who has done bad to you. If they have been mean to you, you
reciprocate the same "meanness" and stoop down to the same leave and as they say follow the “tit for tat” rule.
The other school of thought is to still go ahead and help
that person if they have reached out to you because they feel that you have the
power to help them. You go ahead and do the best you can for them and let karma
punish them for their toxic behavior extended earlier.
I somehow believe in the latter; I am not losing out if I helped
someone because that makes me a bigger person; however some people might get
away with using you; but if it benefits you or your soul in some way or gives
you some mental satisfaction of having helped humanity. So, be it.
What are your thoughts?
For me vengeance is too heavy a word and feeling to be with for the rest of your life. I would rather stay being positive and make my life and existence much bigger amd better than the wrongdoing of someone else. So forgive not forget so that you are not duped again is my simple policy
ReplyDeleteI too believe in the latter one. Do whatever that makes you happy..
ReplyDeleteBelow are 3 verses from Bible:-
ReplyDeleteMatthew 5:44 - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Luke 6:27 - But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Ephesians 4:32 - And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Only unconditional and selfless love can forgive. Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross sbedding His own blood to provide for our forgiveness for our sins against God. Holy God became man and paid by His blood for trespassing and often rebelling people like us. If I can imitate Him in any small way....we will fulfil the law of unconditional love and can forgive any....Very difficult...but with God all things are possible
